The cat and the fiddle, The cow jumped over the moon;
The little dog laugh'd
To see such craft, While the dish ran after the spoon.
Lavender blue, and Rosemary green, When X am king, you shall be queen, Call up my maids at four of the clock, Some to the wheel, and some to the rock, Some to make hay, and some to shell corn, And you and I to keep the bed warm.
